Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Small Jobs (“the platform”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Small Jobs.
  • One person may hold one account. Multiple accounts used to claim the same job, or to inflate referral earnings, will be suspended and any balance forfeited.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your password secure.
  • Information you give us — including your country and payout details — must be accurate and kept up to date.

2. The platform's role

Small Jobs is a marketplace. We provide the listing, escrow and review tools; we are not a party to the agreement between an employer and a worker, and we are not the employer of any worker. Workers are independent contractors responsible for their own taxes and for complying with the laws that apply to them.

3. Posting jobs

  • Jobs are reviewed before they go live. We may reject or remove any job at our discretion.
  • Instructions must be complete and honest, and must state exactly what proof is required.
  • You may not post jobs that are illegal, that break the terms of another website, that involve fake reviews or fraudulent engagement, adult content, hate speech, malware, pyramid or investment schemes, personal data harvesting, or that ask a worker to pay money or hand over account credentials.
  • The cost of a job plus our 10% service fee is reserved from your balance when the job is submitted. Escrow for slots that are never filled is refunded when you cancel or complete the campaign. Service fees on approved work are not refundable.

4. Completing jobs

  • Submit one proof per job and only after genuinely completing the task.
  • Fabricated proof, recycled screenshots, bots and automated submissions are grounds for immediate suspension.
  • Employers must review submissions within 7 days and may only reject work that does not meet the instructions as written. Rejections must include a reason.
  • If you believe a rejection was unfair you may open a dispute. Our decision on a dispute is final.

5. Payments

  • Approved work is credited to your earnings balance immediately.
  • Withdrawals may be requested from $3.00 and are subject to a 2% processing fee. Payouts are made to the account details on your profile; we are not responsible for money sent to details you entered incorrectly.
  • We may hold a payout while we investigate suspected fraud, and may reverse credits obtained through fraud.
  • Deposits are not refundable once spent on approved work.

6. Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used for fraud, or that repeatedly attracts justified complaints. Where an account is closed for fraud, pending balances may be withheld and used to refund affected users.

7. Liability

The platform is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for the conduct of any user. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the three months before the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use Small Jobs after a change means you accept the updated terms.
